Before going on-line you need to collect
your details, which should include: · The map Grid Reference at the problem location.
·
The local parish and footpath number.
·
A clear description of the problem you encountered.
If you have difficulty finding the right path information, please e-mail John or Kevin for assistance. The Essex County Council on-line site
is very easy to use. 1) Click on http://www.essex.gov.uk/Travel-Highways/Report-a-highway-problem/Pages/Default.aspx 2) Use the map zoom controls to identify the site of the fault as accurately as possible and add a marker to that point. 3) Proceed to the next page to select the type of fault (e.g Path or footway defect)
4)
Proceed to the next page to describe in detail
This process should also be used for reporting faults outside our immediate Chelmsford and Maldon Districts.
