Reporting Footpath and PROW Problems in Essex
All Ramblers and members of the public who go walking are encouraged to report any fault encountered on a Footpath, or Public Right of Way to the Essex County Council Highways Department.
The most convenient method is to use the Essex Highways Service Information Centre:
Select Tell us online then scroll down to Public rights of way issues. You can then select the type of issue and search on the map to find the location and footpath number. A pop up box allows you to enter the details and submit it directly. To check for updates on a reported fault select Track it.
Faults can also be reported on the Essex Area Parish Path Adopters System PPA25 where they will be tracked by area coordinators who liase with Essex Highways to focus on problems that need fixing.
